The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, extremely organized, laser focused, experienced administrator/engineer. You must possess exceptional knowledge when it comes to implementing, administering and monitoring server/desktop computing infrastructure while being well rounded in firewall and networking. You must understand, and embrace the necessity of operating MSP type tools to support end user clients. Additionally, the right person must possess excellent communication and documentation skills and commit to learn new technologies and concepts while maintaining current solutions.

Location

This position is based in our Staten Island location. Travel to our client’s sites in New York City metro area may be required.

  • 80% – 90% of the work will be performed from our office.
  • 10% – 20% of the work will be performed at our client’s offices.

 

Responsibilities

The responsibility of this position is to provide your years of knowledge and experience to an extremely important client facing role within our company. You will provide the necessary implementation, support, configuration, monitoring, reporting, communication and documentation to our TOOL STACK on a daily basis for our field and help desk and NOC engineers.

  • Automate recurring system administration tasks using languages such as PowerShell.
  • Actively train on NetConnect solution stack of services and products.
  • Take leadership role to manage NetConnect’s TOOL STACK from design through support.
  • System administrate our in-house cloud solution.
  • Be fall back support for Help Desk or Engineering when required.
  • Actively review client metrics and reporting.
  • Work with other members of the technical team to develop strong strategies and resolutions.
  • Research and develop process for which company’s TOOL STACK integrates as seamlessly as possible.
  • Assist engineering team on deployments of new offices and new clients.
  • Review and support back-up, replication and disaster recovery on a daily basis.

 

Requirements

  • Must have experience working in a Managed Service environment, providing clients with design, development and consultative services.
  • Demonstrate an extremely high level of integrity.
  • Solid experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies and others.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating system, VMware, Exchange, O365, Azure, HP, SonicWALL, Cisco, Google Apps, and others.
  • Knowledge of Connectwise Manage, Solarwinds, Storagecraft, Symantec, Duo, TrendMicro, GMS and others.
  • Strong understanding of providing assessments, password vaulting, policies, and follow-through to the clients.
  • Build a strong working relationship with all vendors to help enhance implementation and configuration.
  • Excellent written, verbal and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage your time effectively with accurate record keeping.

Compensation

Compensation will depend on experience and will range from $75,000 – $95,000.
